Advantages of Recycling That Would Make Your Mom Proud

In the world we live in today, we have to do everything we can to preserve the world we love. One of the easiest ways to do this is to recycle. There are many ways to preserve our earth’s materials, including something as easy as basic recycling.

In your home, get three or four small bins; put them in a common place outside or inside your home. Label them for plastic, paper, glass, and aluminum. You can make recycling fun for your children so that they will want to make it a lifestyle choice as well. Here is a list of things that can be recycled:

  • milk cans
  • coke cans
  • juice containers
  • paper bags
  • school work
  • hair spray cans
  • cooking spray cans
  • bottles
  • light bulbs
  • shampoo bottles
  • gift boxes
  • batteries, etc.

That’s just some of the things you can recycle at home. If you want to make a huge impact, you can recycle anything you are not using anymore, such as old clothes, old electronics, car batteries, paint, mattresses, refrigerators, and furniture.

Recycling is so very important in the times that we live in today. Our planet is getting more and more technological, and we are accruing more and more things and items as we go. It can be so easy and fun to recycle. Most people think it just stops with household items, but it doesn’t; you can recycle the soil in your garden or the oil in your car. Anything that can be broken down can be recycled.

It also isn’t just what you recycle; you can use and buy recycled items as well. Like at the grocery store, use a bag that you can reuse each time you go to the store. Or with decorating your home, use items that have been recycled or items that are slightly used. This will not only help mother earth, but it will make you feel better about yourself too! You can always get help if you have any questions.

Make recycling as fun as you can for your kids. You can make a point system for the children with the most recyclables or make incentives for them, encouraging them to recycle. Most people think of recycling as a chore. They think of it being costly and boring, but it can be the opposite if you have fun doing it. So go to your neighborhood or local recycling center and start saving the earth one bottle at a time!
