1 Vidalia onion, diced
2 Plum tomatoes, diced
1 Bunch fresh cilantro, chopped

Mother’s Day, this is the day we celebrate and honor all Mother’s. During my career working in pet stores, I was often asked “What is the best pet for kids?” Of course, this is a very subjective question, since every child is different and likewise, has different interests and things they desire in their ideal “pet” animal. Nevertheless, some general criteria come to mind:
Easy to care for
Good temperament; not prone to biting
Not too large
Fairly inexpensive to acquire and maintain
Relatively “durable” & can withstand regular petting/handling

As all of my friends and neighbors already know, I have quite a few dogs. By quite a few, I mean, I sometimes have more dogs than the people on Animal Hoarders. I’m not ashamed that I have so many pets, because a lot of them are rescues from animal shelters. And, since I’m in a position to afford so many pets – I rescue them. A majority of my larger dogs stay outside in a kenneled area I had built especially for them. They have a shed, complete with outdoor furniture, as their dog house. Fresh Fruit Salsa
1 cup strawberries, coarsely chopped
1 cup papaya, finely chopped
1 medium banana, finely diced
1 tablespoon honey
2 teaspoons raspberry vinegar
Juice of 1 lime
Dash of cayenne pepper
In a saucepan over medium heat, mix together honey, lime juice, vinegar and cayenne pepper. Heat and stir until honey is dissolved. Set aside to cool. In a medium bowl, gently toss together strawberries, papaya and bananas with cooled honey mixture. Serve with cinnamon chips.
