PUR Advanced Vertical Mount Water Filtration System

I made the decision to install a water filtration system in my home for several reasons. First and foremost I did not like the smell and taste of my current water supply. This problem also appeared in the taste of my food and coffee. Even my dogs would not drink the water!

So I recently purchased the PUR Advanced Vertical Mount Faucet Water Filtration System in Silver from Filters-Now.com. When I made the purchase I decided to also buy the PUR Faucet Mount Replacement Water Filter 2 pack. Always best to plan ahead, right?

Some of the reasons why I choose the PUR brand are that it removes 99% of contaminants, has easy installation with 1-click and swivels to help save space when not in use, especially when you need to wash a few dishes quickly.

Set up was quite easy. It just attached to my existing water faucet with one click and no other tools were required. Setup took 5 minutes at the max.

The first thing you must do before installing the faucet mount water filter is to remove your current aerator and choose the best match of adapter depending on your thread style of the faucet. Next remove the filter from its packaging and place it inside the casing. Now you are ready to attach the unit to your faucet. You will need to push the unit onto the faucet while applying pressure on top. You should hear a “click” sound when it is installed.

Before you use the faucet mount unit for the first time, run cold water through the filtered position on for about 5-10 minutes. This is to flush the cartridge. You may see cloudy water and hear air being pushed from the unit, but that is normal.

Another great feature for this unit I purchased is the electronic built-in filter life indicator. When you first install the filter, the light turns green; it will eventually turn yellow over time and red when it is time for a new one. Dummy proofed. Depending on your usage, the filter will last up to 3 months.

One issue I did experience was water leaking around the filter casing. After reviewing the owner’s manual I was able to troubleshoot it by removing the filter and re-installing it. Issue resolved! However, I did see that this product does have a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase from PUR. That was reassuring.

This has been the best decision for my entire household. It’s so nice to be able to get clean, good smelling water straight from the faucet and not having to waste money on those bottled waters. Even my dogs are enjoying the improved water Mom is giving them on a more frequent basis.

If you are experiencing some of the same issues with your water quality, I highly recommend a filtration system of some type. The faucet mount may not be the correct choice for you, but there are several options. I do highly recommend PUR brand products. You will be happy with your choice!
