Sugar Christmas Cookies Recipe

Sugar Christmas Cookies
1 cup Crisco
1 cup butter
5 cups plain flour
3 cups sugar
4 eggs
4 tbs milk
4 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
Make dough and refrigerate for 24 hours. Sprinkle a flat surface with flour and roll your dough out using a rolling pin. Dough should be 1/8” in thickness. Be sure your cookie cutters are dipped in flour as well. Place cookies on a nonstick baking sheet. Bake 10-15 mins or until golden brown at 375 degrees. Place cookies on cooling rack for 5 mins.
Icing
Confection Sugar
Water
Food Coloring
Pour a box of confection sugar in a mixing bowl. Add water to make it have the same consistency as a batter. Add food coloring to icing. You may have to add several drops to achieve the darkness of desired color. Spread icing on cookies. Optional: Top with cookie sprinkles.
