1. Remove the new refill from its wrapper. Using two hands hold the cardboard edges of the clean refill filter and stretch it fully to the width of the frame with the mesh side facing up.
2. Insert the refill into the grate (darker) side of the open frame. Ensure that each filter pleat is resting in its slot. Place the holes in each cardboard edge of the refill over the pegs of each side of the frame.
3. Close the top of the frame and secure the latches firmly. Install the filter into your heating and cooling system with the grate (darker) side of the filter facing the furnace/air conditioner. Make sure the air flow arrow on the frame edge matches the airflow direction in your furnace or air conditioner.
